| Just out the box with some old bedding to comfort them |
We finally brought our bundels of joy home on the 1/1/12 late at night.
Jessica and Rhyle are settling in well.
Jessica is a 10 month, lop-eared doe, she is a rescue originaly from Pet's at Home another pet brought then just dumped when she was pregnant. I am unsure about her breed I know it will be hard to tell as Pets at Home don't use, shall we say, correct breeders for their supply of rabbits but if anyone can tell what breeds she has in her I would like to know. Rhyle her 10 week old son has the look of a Dutch about him and is believed to be a Dutch X.

One the first night we let them be in their dog kennel for a few hours then once they calmed down we opened the door and let them have the run of the lounge. This is when we found out we hadn't quite rabbit proofed the house as well as we thought.

Eventually they found they could jump on the furniture and found the stool next to the computer a great place to settle down. The were so quiet the first night I kept getting up to check on them and they were fast asleep.

| Starting to explore |
On Monday we both stayed at home with them except the smal trip out to Tessco's and to get some rabbit toys. They loved it Rhyle even did Binky -This is where your rabbit jumps off the ground, usually with some kind of twisting motion starting at the rabbit’s head and going through the whole body. They had the run all day until late last-night and an hour before we went to bed they calmed down and settled down together but when it came time for be suddenly they wer full of energy. Eventually they got themselves back in to their kennel and they decided that they were going to make up for the night before and kept me awake all night bless them.

Today is my first day back at work after a nice long break and all I can think about is if their OK. Daniel went home at lunch to check on them. He's just as
bigger softy as I am.

At first before we got them I was worried about having them inside and about hygiene and space and although their kennel takes up a vast space I wouldn't do without them now. It has defiantly added to our family and as soon as they are completely happy with their surroundings were letting people come and see them.
