London's The Lion King - Review
Sunday 15th January 2012
On Sunday my partner and I went to see The Lion King. It was one of his Christmas presents for me.We went up by train in the morning and although it was absolutely freezing it was a beautiful clear day. Eventually we arrived in London were we found ourselves at Covent Gardens Tube Station. They actually give out a warning that there are 192 steps to exit the station and for your own health and safety they recommend you take the lift. Sometime my head has these great ideas but doesn't think it through. 192 stairs is about the same as a 5 story building. I;m not the fittest person so about half way up I started to question my sanity. We eventually made it with a lot of heavy breathing, I can now say first hand TAKE THE LIFT!!!

We went for lunch and a bit of window shopping to kill some time, and catch our breath. we walked round to the Lyceum Theatre and went in over 45 minuets early to find our seats. We were in the Royal Circle four rows from the font and right on the ile.
I have been to see the show before but it was quite a few years ago. I'm not even sure if it was in the same theatre or not. I found that some parts had been change some added in and others completely removed. For example I'm sure the song The morning report was in the first time I saw the stage show but it wasn't this time? I could be mistaken of course but I'm almost positive it was.
The actors and actresses were simply amazing. Stephen Mathews who plays Zazu was absolutely marvellous. Timon and Pumba we funny as always. I'm pretty sure a few of the joke/witty remarks were more aimed at adults than children.I wont go in to too much detail as I urge you to go and see it yourself it is incredible for adults of any age and take the kids if you want :) If you do want to see it just click on the link above or visit the BoxOffice website. It's well worth doing and it's a fantastic day out.

New Arrivals - Jessica and Rhyle
![]() |
| Just out the box with some old bedding to comfort them |
We finally brought our bundels of joy home on the 1/1/12 late at night.
Jessica and Rhyle are settling in well.
Jessica is a 10 month, lop-eared doe, she is a rescue originaly from Pet's at Home another pet brought then just dumped when she was pregnant. I am unsure about her breed I know it will be hard to tell as Pets at Home don't use, shall we say, correct breeders for their supply of rabbits but if anyone can tell what breeds she has in her I would like to know. Rhyle her 10 week old son has the look of a Dutch about him and is believed to be a Dutch X.

One the first night we let them be in their dog kennel for a few hours then once they calmed down we opened the door and let them have the run of the lounge. This is when we found out we hadn't quite rabbit proofed the house as well as we thought.

Eventually they found they could jump on the furniture and found the stool next to the computer a great place to settle down. The were so quiet the first night I kept getting up to check on them and they were fast asleep.

| Starting to explore |
On Monday we both stayed at home with them except the smal trip out to Tessco's and to get some rabbit toys. They loved it Rhyle even did Binky -This is where your rabbit jumps off the ground, usually with some kind of twisting motion starting at the rabbit’s head and going through the whole body. They had the run all day until late last-night and an hour before we went to bed they calmed down and settled down together but when it came time for be suddenly they wer full of energy. Eventually they got themselves back in to their kennel and they decided that they were going to make up for the night before and kept me awake all night bless them.

| Happy Bunnies |
Today is my first day back at work after a nice long break and all I can think about is if their OK. Daniel went home at lunch to check on them. He's just as
bigger softy as I am.

At first before we got them I was worried about having them inside and about hygiene and space and although their kennel takes up a vast space I wouldn't do without them now. It has defiantly added to our family and as soon as they are completely happy with their surroundings were letting people come and see them.

Rehoming Animals
This time of year all the adverts come out about Pets are not just for Christmas and although most of us know this there is a still a lot of people taking animals home and either not understanding all the care/money that's involved with them or they get board with them or the pet grows bigger, stronger and can't be controlled. There of course are many other reasons some out of the control of the owners but threes still too many animals being abandoned and neglected.

I noticed this more as for the last few months I have been looking for two pet rabbits. When I started looking I was still unsure about my job and if I would have one come the new year. I have since been informed I will so as a Christmas present my partner told me we could get rabbits.
We went on ans searched the website and came across Rabbit Rehome we were overwhelmed at how many rabbits there were wanting a home. We sent off emails to several of the rabbits we were interested in less than 3 hours we had a response for a pair that had only come in to the rescues care recently a mother and her baby.
We went and saw them tonight and naturally fell in love we bring them home 2nd January 2012.
These like many others are lucky they have a permanent home but sadly hundreds more country wide are still looking for homes whether their in foster homes or in a rescue centre. The sad fact is all these centres are filling up with unwanted pets.

Our mother rabbit was once brought from a large chain pet shop and all too often this happens pet shops easily sell animals and the majority brought end up in rescue centres. Our mother rabbit was handed over to the RSPCA after her owner could no longer cope with her as she got pregnant.
She has now been spayed. It's my thought that all animals should be spayed and nurtured obviously except for reputable breeders. This would stop people purposely breeding their animals just so they can sell the offspring to make money. The government a while ago talked about bringing back dog licences I believe this would be a great idea but why stop their I also thing a breeding license would be the next step to stop these careless owners breeding more animals just to make money when all that happens is they end up and rescue centres or abandoned. I am awear this is not the case every time but it is the majority that this is true for.

Life Continues
I love Autumn its a beautiful time of year, November especially I love the darker evenings and the fresh crisp air not to mention my birthday at the end of the month. I've managed to persuade my boss to let me have my birthday off and my partner will be taking me out for the day to take more photos.
At the moment we are getting the VOW and Business Catalogs (Bus Cat) finished for the beginning of December. It's defiantly taken its toll on us this week as 3 of us were off on Monday and we are all very tiered yet we know this is only the beginning.
What is it about November people say it's a depressing month? We're all so busy looking to Christmas we forget to live in the moment and getting through November becomes a matter of several.
